MDCP Record for 04220306 Collection Date: April 22, 2003 County or City: Coles Collector's Notes: In a spot that has produced yellow morels for seven years; under small maples, with one large sycamore in the area. Soil temperature 54.5 degrees; pH 6.7. Mushrooms in this spot have consistently demonstrated pale yellow colorations, making them hard to spot despite thier large size. Even young mushrooms here are pale; they never seem to be "grays," and in age they don't get particularly dark yellow.
