Dr. Steve Stephenson is currently a Research Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Arkansas . He received his PhD in Botany (with an emphasis on plant ecology) from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 1977 and was a Professor of Biology at Fairmont State College (in West Virginia ) for 27 years before moving to his present position. His program of research on fungi and slime molds (particularly the myxomycetes) has been carried out on six continents and has taken him from the tropics to high-latitude regions of both the Arctic and Subantarctic.
Dr. Steven L. Stephenson
