Dr. James C. Cavender
Dr. James Cavender is an Emeritus Professor in the Department of Environmental and Plant Biology at Ohio University, where he taught mycology and other classes for 35 years. He received his PhD in Botany from the University of Wisconsin in 1963. He has continued research on the occurrence and distribution of dictyostelid cellular slime molds for almost 50 years and is currently conducting research on dictyostelids in Tierra del Fuego, Patagonia and Iguazu, Argentina, Australia and other areas as well as participating in workshops to further the study of mycetozoans throughout the world.
