Adam received his BS degree in Biology from Fairmont State College (now University) in West Virginia and his MS degree in Forest Ecology from West Virginia University . He is currently pursuing a PhD in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Arkansas . His research, which is an extension of several undergraduate research experiences that took him to Costa Rica , Puerto Rico and Mexico , will examine myxomycete ecology at several scales, ranging from microhabitat to global.
